CHAT - Tips
____________
The number 1 point to remember while chatting with another person
is to BE PATIENT!
An end of response signal should be agreed upon between the
people engaged in chat. If you need to type 5 lines the other
person should agree to not interrupt you until you give the
"go ahead". "ga" is a good way to say, "I'm finished typing, your
turn now. Alternately, a single blank line entered as an end of
typing signal will do just fine.
The point is, the other user must know that you are finished typing
so he/she knows when to begin.
If you initiated the Chat, be aware that sometimes it takes awhile
to get the other person's attention. Your chat request is sent
to the other person as soon as possible. If you need to know if
the other person has indeed received your request to chat, type
'/S' while inside Chat, and you will see the status display. If
the other person has been notified, their status will say "Chat
Request Sent", otherwise it will say "Chat Request Pending".
